The man damaged Wang Junying's painting "Contemporary Four Handsome Men" with a hammer. According to the exhibition organizers, the man was dissatisfied with the four persons in that painting. He can't agree with the painting artist Wang Junying's opinion on Chinese contemporary handsome men. However, the damaged painting is worth hundreds of millions of Chinese Yuan. The man may face huge compensation for his behavior.

Wang Junying was born in Dalian, Liaoning Province in 1970. She graduated from the Oil Painting Department of the Luxun Academy of Fine Art, Shenyang in 1994. Wang Junying holds a personal exhibition in Changsha since Marth 8th. A collection of 38 oil paintings is on show from March 2nd to 20th, including many representative works of Wang Junying, such as "Fair Lady", Seven Celebrities with Surname Ma, Contemporary Four Handsome Men and Four Beauties of Hunan. Her personal exhibition has gained wide attention so far.

The painting "Contemporary Four Handsome Men" damaged by the man features Nobel Prize winner Mo Yan, China's star hurdler Liu Xiang, singer and actor Li Yugang and Chinese entrepreneur, philanthropist Chen Guangbiao. According to Wang Junying, she believes the painting represents the beauty of contemporary Chinese man's wisdom, the beauty of the sport, handsome beauty, and the beauty of the soul.

On March 16th, a man whose surname is Wu heard that the painting "Contemporary Four Handsome Men" would be on show in Changsha. Wu managed to sneak into the scene of the art exhibition and struck the costly painting with a hammer. When being asked why he wants to destroy the painting, Wu said he was dissatisfied that Mo Yan and Liu Xiang were included in the "Contemporary Four Handsome Men".
