Google Translate is now available in selected apps on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. Google said that the translation feature will, for now, only cover popular apps but the company promise that it will roll out to all apps in the future.

The integration of Google Translate into some apps means that users can instantly translate words right into the app and not require another app to do the translation. This makes it easier to do translation and also lessens the time consumed when switching between different apps.

Google Translate product leak Barak Turovsky announced the new feature on Google Translate official blog, "We face communication barriers every day. Switching back and forth between apps and screens to translate shouldn't be another one. We've heard your feedback, and have worked with the Android team to make translating text, chats, and other app content a whole lot easier."

Turovsky added that some of the supported apps are LinkedIn, TripAdvisor and WhatsApp.

The update will work on any device that runs on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. To be able to use the new feature, users need to download the Translate app first and once installed the feature will be automatically integrated into other apps.
