Watts' statement could be interpreted in two ways, as per Cinema Blend. First, Watts and the team had to finalize the story, so they might have not decided yet if they would Morales or not in the output. The second could be an indication from the director the might reveal more information about the film. Overall, Watts' declaration heightened fans' curiosity.

Meanwhile, "The Impossible" actor Tom Holland is set to play the iconic web-slinger in Jon Watts' "Spider-Man" film reboot. But before that, he will debut the character in Marvel's Cinematic Universe in Joe Russo and Anthony Russo's forthcoming Marvel Comics film "Captain America: Civil War," which centers on the release of the Accords. It is released by the government to limit superheroes from using their powers.

Captain America is set to team up with Hawkeye, Falcon, Agent 13, and Ant-Man. They oppose Iron Man's team, which reportedly includes Black Widow, War Machine, The Vision, and Black Panther. Spider-Man is also set to appear in the film; however, no information yet as to which side he is in.

The Russos' "Captain America: Civil War" is set to premiere on May 6, 2016. Meanwhile, Watts' "Spider-Man" film reboot is set to hit theaters on July 28, 2017.
