Tesla CEO Elon Musk has been all over the news and social media lately because of the release of Tesla Model X last week. Through the social media sites, Musk was probed by the community and the man behind Tesla Model X did not hesitate to reveal the upcoming Tesla vehicles.

Through a Twitter post on Oct. 2, the CEO unveiled that apart from the affordable Model 3 sedan, a different car, the Model Y, will also be released. However, there were no many details concerning the release of Tesla Model Y aside from the likelihood of sporting familiar falcon wings doors that are currently a top feature in the Tesla Model X.

The tweet with the information on the upcoming Tesla Model Y can be accessed from Google's webcache after Musk deleted it off his Twitter page.

The CEO's reply to one Twitter user's question also shows that the Model Y will be the crossover version of Model 3. It is not yet clear which of the two models will have the falcon wing doors.

Furthermore, the price, battery capacity and the likely launch date were not revealed in the tweet. But, there are high chances that the Tesla Model Y will be released alongside the Model 3, according to Tech Times.

The Tesla Model 3 is scheduled to be launched in 2017 with a forecasted starting price of $35,000, which is much cheaper than the current offerings - the Signature Model X priced at $132,000. There is a possibility of the forecasted beginning price for the Model 3 to go beyond the $35,000 depending on how the Model X is released for a minimum of $10,000 more than the expected price.

In a different deleted tweet on Oct. 2, last Friday, Musk revealed his company's plan to launch a more affordable version of the Model X that will have 70kWh as opposed to the standard 90kWh, Tech Insider reported.

In line with the previous pricing strategy of the Model S P85D and Model S 70D, whereby the former was introduced at $30,000 less than the latter, the trimmed down version of the Tesla Model X can be relatively cheaper as well. Musk indicated that the lower-priced model will come in about 12 months.
