Kuwait (3-1-0, 9 points) and Lebanon (2-2-0, 6 points) will fight for the second spot of Group G in the AFC 2018 World Cup qualifiers at the Al Kuwait Sports Club Stadium in Kuwait City on Tuesday, October 13.

Al-Azraq lost to top team South Korea, 0-1, on Thursday at their said home turf in Kuwait City to fail at getting the top spot of the group, as per Soccerway.

South Korean midfielder Koo Ja-cheol's header was the lone goal of the match in the opening minutes and it was enough to turn back Nabil Maâloul's squad in a highly-defensive encounter.

Kuwait's leading scorer, striker Yousef Nasser, was held scoreless in the game by the Korean defense and he looks to bounce back in this match versus Lebanon.

Meanwhile, the Cedars are coming off a 2-0 win over Myanmar at the Suphachalasai Stadium in Bangkok also on Thursday, via Four Four Two.

Striker Hassan Maatouk and attacking midfielder Abbas Ahmed Atwi scored a goal in each half, at the 28th and 93rd minutes, to put away the tough challenge of Radojko Avramović's men.

Kuwait and Lebanon's first encounter in the qualifiers resulted in a 1-0 victory for the former, unsurprisingly behind a late goal by Nasser 14 minutes before full time.

The Kuwaitis are expected to squeak out another tight win versus the Lebanese in this second round robin of competitions.

The prediction is a close 2-1 victory for Kuwait.
