Now that the weekend has hit, "Destiny" players are looking forward to Xur's weekly exotic items. The merchant has been spotted in the area of the Vanguard vendors in The Tower.

The items in the inventory for the weekend include the Legacy Weapon Engram: Heavy Weapon, the Insurmountable Skullfort, the Knucklehead Radar, the Exotic Glove Engram and the Claws of Ahamkara, Polygon reported. The video, seen below, details what "Destiny" players can get for their Strange Coins.

Additionally, Three of Coins can also be bought from Xur this weekend. Best to get the items, as they are scheduled to leave the game come Oct. 11, 5:00 a.m. E.T.

Apart from checking out the goods that Xur brought in his inventory, players also have another reason to play "Destiny." Players can get free Silver from Bungie for playing between October and December.

It appears that the developer is trying to jumpstart its newest microtransaction component, which was just released for "Destiny." Silver will now be a premium currency that can be used to obtain some goods care of the Eververse Trading Company. Once this feature is introduced on Oct.13, Bungie will also provide some free Silver, GameSpot reported.

For now, Silver can buy emotes that will be made available via an in-game store. These emotes do not bring anything new to the game apart from aesthetics, but it remains to be seen whether Bungie will use microtransactions as a way for players to get more useful items and features out of "Destiny."

As a premium currency, Silver will surely be a commodity that some hardcore "Destiny" fans will spend money on. However, Bungie has yet to announce the pricing scheme for the new feature.
