"Star Wars" actor Mark Hamill is going to reprise his role as the Trickster in "The Flash" Season 2.

According to Comic Book, Hamill initially played the role in Danny Bilson and Paul De Meo's 1991 "The Flash" television series, starring John Wesley Shipp, Amanda Pays, and Alex Desert, among others. Then, he reprised the role in the first season of Andrew Kreisberg, Greg Berlanti, and Geoff Johns 2014 incarnation of "The Flash."

After Hamill's photos at the set of "The Flash" surfaced reached the social media, rumors that he might return to the series had ignited. After clarifications with CW and Warner Bros., it has been already confirmed that the "Star Wars" actor it set to be back to the small screen. While reappearing a character he played decades ago would be odd, but thrilling, as per Comic Book.

Aside from his role as the Trickster in "The Flash," Hamill is also set to reprise his role as Luke Skywalker in J.J. Abrams' "Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens" and Rian Johnson's "Star Wars: Episode VIII." He is also set to be part of Sonny Dyon's television movie "Relatively Super."  

Meanwhile, "The Flash" follow's Barry Allen, a crime scene investigator who acquires superhuman speed after lightning strikes him in his laboratory.

As per Variety, "The Flash" Season 2 premiere episode saw Allen decide to protect Central City and his friends alone as the powerful metahuman named Atom-Smasher attacked the city. Also, Jay Garrick reached Allen to warn him about the wicked speedster Zoom.

The series stars Adam Copeland as Atom-Smasher, Candice Patton as West, Carlos Valdes as Ramon, Jesse Martin as West, Teddy Sears as Garrick, and Grant Gustin as Allen, among others. The cast also includes Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West, Tom Cavanagh as Dr. Harrison Wells, , Rick Cosnett as Eddie Thawne, Danielle Panabaker as Dr. Caitlin Snow.

Directed by Ralph Hemecker, "The Flash" Season 2 Episode 1, entitled "The Man Who Saved Central City" aired in the small screen on Oct. 6. While Jesse Warn's Episode 2, entitled "Flash of Two Worlds" is set to air on Oct. 13.
