A different suit for Barry Allen is set to be seen in the forthcoming DC Comics film "The Flash."

Sources told Den of Geek that filmmakers were planning to craft a more "tech-based" suit for the Scarlet Speedster in the upcoming superhero film. The publication added that the cinematic adaptation for the suit would be armor-like, in contrast to the reddish-purple leather suit designed by Collen Atwood and worn by Grant Gustin in "The Flash" television series.

The upgraded version of the Scarlet Speedster's suit also shares some elements with the version of the hero in the videogame "Injustice: Gods Among Us." It is armored, sharp, and more "aggressive" than the neat and classic-looking suit in the series. In addition, sources told Den of Geek that Allen would be a "tech geek" on the big screen.

The Flash's suit upgrade is in line with the costume details presented by costume designer Michael Wilkinson for the suits of Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman.

In his interview with DC Entertainment, Wilkinson said that Superman's suit would be made of alien technology while Batman's suit was going to be "hulking." He added that Wonder Woman's suit would reflect the refinement, sophistication, and spirit of the Amazonian culture.

Meanwhile, Ezra Miller is set to play the Scarlet Speedster. Prior to his solo film, Miller will debut The Flash in Zack Snyder's upcoming "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice." The latter film also stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jesse Eisenberg, and Amy Adams, among others.

"Dark Shadows" producer Seth Grahame-Smith is in talks as the film's director and screenwriter, based on a story recently worked on by Chris Miller and Phil Lord. Exact details on the plot, characters, and cast are yet to be revealed.

DC's "The Flash" is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on Mar. 3, 2018 while "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" hits theaters on Mar. 25, 2016.
