The Washington Redskins (2-3) will look to recover from their sorry Week 5 loss as they visit the well-rested New York Jets (3-1) at the MetLife Stadium on Sunday, October 18 as the 2015 NFL season continues.

Washington let a 25-19 overtime game slip away to the Falcons last week at the Georgia Dome as Atlanta cornerback Robert Alford turned an interception into a 59-yard rushing touchdown during the extension period, as per USA Today.

The Redskins actually had the first possession of extra time, but a costly error by quarterback Kirk Cousins was the downfall of Jay Gruden's team.

Meanwhile, the Jets are coming off a bye week after outpointing the Miami Dolphins during Week 4, 27-14, at the Wembley Stadium in England last October 4, via Heavy.

Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick and running back Chris Ivory were the heroes for Todd Bowles' squad, combining for two touchdowns and 384 of the team's 425 yards gained in the game.

Washington is having trouble with their opponent's running backs as of late and the 176 rushing yards they gave away against Atlanta is an indication of their weakness in this area of the field. Expect the come-backing Ivory to take advantage of it while Fitzpatrick takes care of business in the air.

Prediction: Jets win, 28-24.
