Google announced the rolling out of Android 6.0 Marshmallow via OTA updates and what has come with the news is its support of the Nexus devices, Currently, there has been no talk regarding the Android Marshmallow update to the Android One smartphones.
Google's most recent news confirms that the first-Gen smartphone devices will also receive an OTA update.
Android 6.0 Marshmallow will arrive for Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, and the Google Pixel C tablet. These devices were recently released during the Google annual conference on Sept. 29. Along with the announcements regarding the release of Android 6.0 Marshmallow to Nexus Devices, Google also revealed that the Android One devices will get the same updated OS, NDTV reported.
Google is yet to officially announce a specific release schedule of the update for Android One devices, although it is anticipated that Android 6.0 Marshmallow will be available for Android One devices really soon. Recent information regarding the Android 6.0 Marshmallow appeared on the web saying the update already started seeding for the rest of Android One devices.
Android 6.0 Marshmallow information was supported by a report by GSMArena saying that the release of Android 6.0 Marshmallow to Android One device is already on its way. According to the report, the over-the-air update needs approximately 339MB of storage in order for the download to be accommodated.
The Android 6.0 Marshmallow update is reported to have a new build number MRA58M. Android One users do not need to worry about the intricacy of installation since it comes via OTA, which should be easy for any user to download, regardless of their technical skills.
