"The Nightmare Before Christmas" actor Paul Reubens, also known as Pee-Wee Herman, will play The Penguin's father again in the second season of the Warner Bros. television series "Gotham."

According to Comic Book, "Accepted" actor Robin Lord Taylor, who plays Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin in "Gotham," has announced during the Warner Bros. Television panel at the New York Comic Con that Reubens will play his father in Fox's comic book-based television series.

It was evident that Taylor was really pleasured to work with Reubens when the made his announcement at the New York Comic Con. With a tinge of delight in his voice, Taylor told Comic Book that he and the production team had just found out that he did have a father and he would be showing up very soon.

Aside from his role as The Penguin's father in Tim Burton's 1992 film "Batman Returns," Reubens is also known for his roles in Henry Selick's animated fantasy "The Nightmare Before Christmas," Burton's "Pee-Wee's Big Adventure," Danny DeVito's  fantasy comedy "Matilda," and Ted Demme's crime drama "Blow." He is also set to appear in John Lee's adventure comedy television movie "Pee-Wee's Big Holiday."

Meanwhile, "Taxi" star Carol Kane played Gertrud Kapelput/Miranda Cobblepot, The Penguin's mother in the series. Now, it is assumed that fans will also be thrilled to see her share the screen with Reubens as the villain's father in the series.

Taylor was along with his co-stars Ben McKenzie, Cory Michael Smith, Erin Richards, Michael Chiklis, James Frain, and Jessica Lucas, among others at the New York Comic Con, as per Coming Soon. Aside from them, "Gotham" also stars Donal Logue, Sean Pertwee, Camren Bicondova, Chris Chalk, Zabrina Guevarra, Nicholas D'Agosto, and David Mazouz, among others.

"Gotham" Season 2 Episode 3, entitled "The Last Laugh," aired on Oct.12 while Season 2 Episode 4, entitled "Strike Force," is slated to hit the small screen on Oct. 19.
