With more than 4.5 million views to date, Extra Gum's commercial is making everybody believe in love again. The romantic ad is melting people's hearts in more ways than one.
Titled as "The Story of Sarah & Juan," the commercial shows how two people found love with one chronicling every special moment on the back of Extra Gum wrappers.
Juan draws scenes in their relationship and apparently collects them over the years.
The video's tagline is "A girl. A guy. And a stick of gum. See their love story unwrap. #GiveExtragetextra," which practically summarizes the two-minute video.
The background song "Can't Help Falling in Love" by Haley Reinhart made the scenes all the more poignant, the Daily Mail reports.
From the first time Sarah and Juan met at their high school campus to their career life and the beginning of their life together, Extra Gum seamlessly finds its way in their relationship.
The great thing about this ad is that the story line resonated more than the promotion of the gum. The gum scenes were executed with taste. It's soft sell at its finest!
It's the kind of commercial that brings you back to your teenage years when you first experienced love up to your adult years when you finally found true love.
Hollywood life calls the ad a tearjerker and it really is! Who would've thought that a simple act of giving a gum and drawing on gum wrappers can create a believable beautiful love story?
