Nearing the end of 2015, there's not a lot that Novak Djokovic failed to accomplish.

However, there is one achievement that he won't be able to pursue this year-an Olympic Gold Medal. The Djoker got the bronze medal in Beijing 2008. He competed in 2012 but lost in the semifinal to Andy Murray. He eventually lost the bronze medal game to Juan Martin De Potro.

Since then, he has emerged as the most dominant tennis player in the World, with three out of four Grand Slams in 2015 including the elusive US Open. It's no surprise he wants another shot to stamp his supremacy in the Olympics, as he confirms with The National.

"Everybody is looking forward to being part of the Olympic Games. I'm not an exception. I really would love to be part of the Olympic Serbian team," Djokovic told reporters. "That's definitely one of the highlights and one of the priorities of the next season, is to try to get a medal for my country. I'm going to do everything I can possibly to achieve that."

In order to squeeze Rio in his schedule, Djokovic will have to sit out the second round of the Davis Cup, which is not an easy decision.

"I mean, Davis Cup is also an important competition for us because it's the only official team competition we have in our sport," he clarifies.  "Again, between Olympic Games and Davis Cup, I think there is logical conclusion what the player is going to choose, but you never know."

An Olympic gold is one step in validating Djokovic into the conversation of possibly becoming the best tennis player ever, as proposed by The Post Game.

While Djokovic still has a long way to reach Federer's 17 Grand Slam titles, he has been breaking everything that's been standing in his way, most recently, the US Open. Just like a virtual passing of the torch, he broke his losing streak in New York against Federer himself.

"I'm glad that this tradition of losing in finals is broke now," Novak admitted to the Post Game.

Djokovic's record for 2015 after the US Open is a dominating 63-5. There doesn't seem to be any tennis player in sight to stop the rampage of the mighty Serbian.
