Abby Lee Miller and her "Dance Moms" students were slated to attend Sheer Talent Special Edition in Glendale, California, on Oct. 10, according to International Business Times. The cast did not only attend the competition but also dominated it.

After the show failed to take home several first-place wins in season 5, the Abby Lee Dance Company Los Angeles (ALDCLA) almost had a sweep at the competition.

The site revealed that the ALDC's specialty group dance, "The Girls in the Plastic Bubble," came first in the teen category. However, Abby's star student, Maddie Ziegler, who was listed in the competition's program, did not compete with her group. A different report from the same publication revealed that the 13-year-old Ziegler spent last week in New York City shooting "The Book of Henry" - a drama directed by Colin Trevorrow and starring Naomi Watts.

Although JoJo Siwa failed to scoop the first position with her preteen jazz solo "Own It," she did receive platinum for her efforts. "Dance Moms" season 5 guest star Brynn Rumfallo, one of the ADLC dancers is said to have taken home first place in the preteen lyrical division and first position overall with her routine "The Coronation."

Apart from Miller's team walking away winners from their season 6 first competition, the team also beat a longtime rival. Jeanette Cota's Broadway Dance Academy came second in the teen category with their modern group number "The Waiting Room."

Fans might recognize "The Waiting Room" as a similar name to the ALDC's season 5 finale group number. According to a sneak peek video posted on Instagram, it seems to have the same setting as the ALDC dance.

However, Miller appears to be happy with the competition results. The "Dance Moms" coach took to Instagram to dish on her award-winning students. She wrote, "Happy #SheerTalentSaturday!!!!!"

The post was followed by a still of Maddie, Brynn - 12, Nia Frazier - 14, Mackenzie Ziegler - 11, and Siwa - 12, onstage at the competition.
