"Chasing Life" may have just been cancelled by ABC Family after two seasons, but this does not mean that April Carver's (Italia Ricci) is officially over.

In an interview with TV Line, executive producer Patrick Sean Smith revealed details on what could have happened to April, Beth (Aisha Dee) and Dominic (Richard Brancatisano) if the series was renewed for season 3.

According to Smith, they were still torn on whether or not April would have survived her battle with the Big C.

Despite rumors that "Chasing Life" would have imitated the ending of the Mexican series "Terminales," Smith said that no such thing would have happened if the series continued.

In "Terminales," the lead character survived cancer, but died following a tragic car accident.

Meanwhile, Smith also dished on Beth's fate after she found out that she's pregnant.

The exec said that Beth would have pushed through with her pregnancy, but she would most likely put the baby up for adoption.

Not only is Beth starting her own career in the fashion industry, she also said that she's not ready to have a child.

Throughout this emotional ordeal, Beth will receive support from her best friend April.

In other news, there were some rumors that "Chasing Life" season 3 may have been picked up by another network.

However, Smith that allowing for this to happen wouldn't make sense to him and his entire team.

What would have been ideal for the exec was to have April's story adapted and wrapped up in a two-hour movie.

"Chasing Life" season 2 aired its last episode in September.
