Dallas Cowboys signal caller Brandon Weeden was named starter by Jason Garrett after Tony Romo suffered a clavicle injury during their Week 2 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. But the coach did not get the results he wanted, losing three straight with Weeden in the middle, prompting him to put Matt Cassel as starting quarterback for their Week 7 match versus the New York Giants.

Weeden's reaction to his demotion was an honest one: "Obviously, I'm pissed."

The 32-year-old, four-year veteran is not joking and actually "looked angry, pursing his lips" while he talked to reporters on Monday, as reported by the Dallas Morning News.

"They know I am pissed," he added.

Analyst were saying that it would be a risk for Garrett to start a career below 60 percent passing completion rate quarterback like Cassel for Weeden, who passed 71-of-98 for 739 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions for an efficiency rating of 92.2 in three and a quarter games so far, but the coach is sticking with his decision.

Garrett said that Weeden took the decision as a "professional" and that he understood the motivation and reason behind it.

While Weeden was just being truthful about what he told the media, the quarterback also clarified that he would remain confident and ready to play whenever he will be called by the coach.

"I am not going to throw a pity party for myself," said Weeden, as per ESPN. "I am going to handle it the right way and go back to business as usual."

Dallas is Cassel's fifth team in the NFL to date. His career began with New England in 2005, then moved to Kansas City in 2009, then to Minnesota and Buffalo in that order. He was acquired by the Bills in March via a trade then was traded again to the Cowboys this September when Romo got injured.
