Skype is making it easier to chat with worldwide netizens, by gradually rolling out a new feature that allows users to invite people, by sending a link through messaging services, email, and social media. The Microsoft-owned company shared in a blog post that guests can use a computer to access Skype for Web, for one-to-one or group instant messaging chats, and voice or video calls. A Skype account and mobile app are not required.

Users in the United States and United Kingdom can join conversations from Skype for Web, and Windows and Mac desktop applications. It will be available to other countries in the next few weeks.

Users must click "+New" to share a link. Then the invited guest types in a guest name and clicks "Join," according to Tech Crunch.

An on-the-go feature will also launch. It will be for Android and Skype iOS platforms.

In September Skype unveiled Mojis, which includes short clips from TV shows and movies that users can add to Skype chats. The library includes footage from movies such as "Jurassic Park," "Bridesmaids," and "The Muppets."

Furthermore, Skype's translator service for Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 can still be previewed. It is run through the Windows desktop Skype app.

Finally, using Skype 6.4 Android Wear users can create, read, and reply to messages by using the wrist wearable, according to PC Mag. It is available on the LG Watch Urbane, Huawei Watch, Asus ZenWatch, and Moto 360.

Skype's new universal chat feature will make Skype more accessible to people without an app. However, it could also provide another online conferencing option over low-cost or free meeting software applications.
