According to Screen Rant, Abstergo's facility is located in Rome, where the Animus Project laboratory is located. Known as an international corporation and serves as a principal front for the activities of the Templar Order, Abstergo Industries was responsible for a large portion of human technological advancement for the past millennia.

While the set photo did not give much information on the upcoming film's storyline, it is assumed that the photo and Aymar's excitement would also thrill gamers. In fact, Kurzel's "Assassin's Creed" would follow the path of the "Star Wars" franchise, as the film would be linked to the games and comics, as per Cinema Blend.

"X-Men" actor Michael Fassbender will play the lead role in the film. Along with him, "Assassin's Creed" also stars Marion Cotillad, Michael Kenneth William, and "Attenberg" star Ariane Labed.

With director Kurzel set to helm the film, Michael Lesslie, Adam Cooper, and Bill Collage are on board to pen the film screenplay. Jean-Julien Baronnet, Patrick Crowley, Jean di Rivieres, Frank Marshall, Conor McCaughan, and Arnon Milchan will co-produce the film.

Kurzel's "Assassin's Creed" is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on Dec. 21, 2016.
