There are only seven finalists who quit "America's Next Top Model" in the 22-cycle and 12-year history of Tyra Banks' modelling competition. One of them went on to become a successful actress and even appeared in "CSI: NY."
1. "ANTM" cycle 5 11th placer Cassandra Jean Whitehead
Whitehead was 19 when she quit "ANTM" cycle 5 in 2005 after the makeover episode. She went on to become an actress using the name Cassandra Jean.
The "ANTM" cycle 5 11th placer appeared in several TV series including "CSI: Miami," "Hannah Montana" and "Las Vegas" but was uncredited. She was then credited in "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," "The Middleman," "One Tree Hill," "Passenger," "NCIS: Los Angeles," "CSI: NY" and "Hart of Dixie."
The most successful "ANTM" quitter also starred in films "2 Dudes and a Dream," "Kill Katie Malone," "Level 26: Dark Prophecy" and "Yellow."
2. "ANTM" cycle 9 ninth placer Ebony Morgan
In 2007, Morgan ranked ninth in "ANTM" cycle 9 after quitting. In an interview with Buddy TV after her "ANTM" exit, Morgan explained, "I just didn't want to be there. After a while, there's so much stuff that goes on behind scenes that you guys aren't shown. I wasn't enjoying myself after a while. I really wanted to go home and it wasn't what I expected."
3. "ANTM" cycle 10 14th placer Kimberly Rydzewski
In 2008, Rydzewski said she did not like wearing expensive clothes so she quit "ANTM" cycle 10. After "ANTM," she modelled for Calico, Swimwear Plus and eBay boutique Twenty Three Vintage.
4. "ANTM" cycle 16 13th placer Ondrei Edwards
After quitting "ANTM" cycle 16 in 2011, Edwards explained to Reality TV World why she quit. She said, "one of my brothers was in an accident when I was nine-years-old and it happened a little after my birthday, and the one that just recently died was my brother Shasin and he got murdered in Texas by a guy that's actual in trial."
5. "ANTM" cycle 18 12th placer Louise Watts
Watts competed in "Britain and Ireland's Next Top Model" in 2007 and "ANTM" cycle 18 in 2012. She quit the latter after a confrontation with Kelly Cuttrone.
6. "ANTM" cycle 18 fourth placer Alisha White
White was the second finalist to quit "ANTM" cycle 18 after Watts. She also has the highest rank among all "ANTM" quitters and her exist is considered the most unexpected one.
7. "ANTM" cycle 19 12th placer Maria Tucker
In 2012, Tucker quit "ANTM" cycle 19 saying that modelling was not her thing.
