Lenovo's latest flagship laptop is sports significant improvements compared to its predecessor. Dubbed the Lenovo Yoga 900, it sports an upgraded processor, memory and these upgrades were made without sacrificing its weight and ultra-thin body.

The most significant upgrade Lenovo made on the new Yoga 900 is in the processor. Previous iterations of the device runs on slower Core M processor. The new Yoga 900 now runs on sixth-generation Intel Skylake Core i5 and Core i7. Intel claims that Skylake processors offer upgraded computing performance and reduced power consumption.

In the memory and storage aspect, the Lenovo Yoga 900 sports 16GB of internal memory and 512GB of SSD storage, according to The Verge.

The Lenovo Yoga 900 packs a non-replaceable 66Whr battery which the company claims can last up to nine hours. The device also sports a 13.3-inch IPS touchscreen display that boasts 3200x1800 resolution. Lenovo also designed the Yoga 900 so that it can be converted into a traditional laptop, a tablet or a propped up display in tent mode. The Yoga 900 has a bigger keyboard and trackpad compared to its predecessor.

Additional specs include two USB 3.0 ports, a single USB Type-C port, an SD card reader and a headphone jack. Lenovo claim that it order to dissipate heat, the device sports a bigger fan.

The Yoga 900 runs on the latest Windows 10 operating system. It is available in three color variants; gold, silver and clementine.

The major downside after putting together all those powerful specs into one device is that the Yoga 900 has grown a little in order to accommodate all the upgrades. It is now 14.9 mm thick and weighs around 1.29kg. Its predecessor, the Yoga Pro 3, is 12.8mm thick and weighs 1.19kg.

According to PC Mag, the base model of the Lenovo Yoga 900 will cost $1199.
