Premier League powerhouse Arsenal FC is reportedly eyeing the services of two Madrid players, Antoine Griezmann of Atletico and Isco of Real, to boost their title contention in the English top flight this season.

Caught Offside reported that the Gunners are preparing a £33 million swoop for the French forward who had been playing well with the other Spanish capital city team, scoring 26 goals in a total of 45 domestic appearances for Atleti in two seasons so far.

Arsene Wenger is said to be keen on pairing the 24-year-old France international with Chilean hotshot Alexis Sánchez and England striker Theo Walcott up front in the second half of the current season.

Another potential scoring machine that Wenger is targeting this January is Los Blancos' 23-year-old attacking midfielder, Isco.

Metro indicated that Arsenal is also arranging a £22 million bid to Real for the Spaniard when the winter window opens as they try to get closer to the Premier League title, something which the club last held in 2001-2002.

Rumors have emerged that even with Isco's public insistence that he will stay with the Bernabéu giants for the long term, Rafa Benitez's deep midfield lineup is said to be keeping him from reaching his true potential in the pitch.

If not for James Rodriguez's untimely injury this season, the Benalmádena native would have been used sparingly. Still, even without Rodriguez, he is playing behind Gareth Bale, Toni Kroos, and the up and coming Mateo Kovačić in Real's pecking order.

If both of Wenger's wishes would come to fruition in January, then expect the Holloway, London residents to challenge both Manchester teams for the title come season's end.
