Jim Ross, a WWE Hall of Famer, has been away from the company for a good number of years now.

It's probably safe to say that majority of - if not all - fans miss his catchy one-liners partnered with that raspy Southern accent, packed in one iconic figure behind the commentary table.

However, the WWE still runs through JR's barbecue sauce-rich veins.

That's why he's constantly keeping tabs on the latest in the business and spilling the beans about various wrestling topics on his personal blog.

With the next pay-per-view Hell in a Cell just a couple of winks away, Ross second the WWE Universe's insight on its seemingly half-baked buildup.

"This event Sunday has lost a fair amount of luster over the past several weeks," he said. "But that means that expectations are likely lower than expected which means it could be a sleeper show at the Staples Center."

The former WWE executive and color commentator understands that a small part of this stems from the sudden change in the bookings due to a nagging injury and what looks like a personal time-off.

"Sorry to hear of Randy Orton's shoulder issues, but he's had those lingering problems with his shoulder for years," Ross shared. "Hopefully, Randy can get it repaired in a more permanent manner even if it puts him on the sideline for a while which isn't a bad thing."

Ross also tackled the recent guesting of Hell in a Cell competitor, Brock Lesnar, on Stone Cold Steve Austin's podcast.

"Thought the Austin-Lesnar piece of business after RAW was good stuff," JR claimed. "Both men very natural and at ease with each other, which indicates significant mutual respect between two mega stars."

He called the interview "refreshing" as both Stone Cold and Brock were genuine personalities, who veered away from their in-ring personas.

"Organic, pro wrestling presentations are fleeting these days or so seems to me," he added. "Good conversation between two of our greatest signees. Great insight as to who Brock Lesnar the man truly is."
