The rumored Clash of Clans Halloween update is now official as iOS and Android mobile gamers can start test driving the COC update described by a new report as a game skin, which means that the download will apply a spooky theme to the popular Supercell game. But the real major bump is yet to come that the October 24 ClashCon will likely reveal.

For now, the focus is on the Halloween spell, which the new Supercell update is emphasizing by tweaking the Spell Factory to offer the following at dirt-cheap cost of one Gem:

  • Lightning
  • Healing
  • Rage
  • Jump
  • Freeze
  • Poison
  • Haste
  • Earthquake

The idea, according to Design & Trend, behind the move is to prod COC gamers to take on the Halloween mood and go on a spell binge. And to create a scary atmosphere for the game, the Halloween update, as mentioned above will temporarily alter the settings. Sounds, assets and obstacles will all have a touch of Halloween, which the report said will last for the duration of the spooky-themed holiday. Then back to COC reality.

As the report indicates, the Halloween update is optional but not what Supercell has in store. There are talks that October 24 ClashCon will unleash an earthshaking COC upgrade - one package that will redefine the Clash of Clans gameplay and alter its landscape.

The update that likely will touchdown this weekend is seen to deliver visual treats, for instance a Nighttime Mode that be toggled on and off, GameZone said in a report. The objective is to introduce a new level of challenge to reignite fierce interest on the game.

Also, Rumors have it that Level 11 Town Hall is a shoo-in as well as Level 8 Barbarians, both of which should further fire up the already bustling COC community.

But what could prove as the real game-changer is the inclusion of a Single Player Mode that is seen as a tool for player to explore the Clash of Clans landscape, unlock all its possibilities and hone their skills for more fearsome brawling into the Multiplayer stage.
