Aston Martin DB10 has seen the last of its action with the latest James Bond movie, while Daniel Craig has also announced that he is not going to do another bond movie. The luxury automaker produced only 10 units of the beautiful car, each with a specialized character to serve a specific purpose in different parts of the Hollywood blockbuster.

Two Spectre cars were solely meant for the stunt performances and were accordingly provided with reinforced safety cage, while another two were fitted with the gadgets previewed in the Bond movie. Two of the Aston Martins were driven by stunt driver on the roof with Daniel Craig dummy-playing the driving privileges. A pair of DB10 was reserved for the close-up shots.

The stylish Aston Martin DB10 seen in the movie borrowed the engine and chassis from the £103k Vantage S. The manufacturer says that the powerful 430bhp 4.7-litre V8 engine enabled the car to sprint from 0-62 mph in less than 3.2 seconds before hitting the estimated top speed of 190 mph. It was made possible by adding a 6-speed manual gearbox, lightweight carbon fiber body and an efficient aerodynamic body profile.

Furthermore, Aston Martin produced the entire front end from a single piece of carbon fiber to reduce the amount of panels, keeping the design simpler and sleeker. The clamshell bonnet opens from the windshield end revealing the V8 core, while the car is kept glued to the turmac through its long wheel base with 'knife blade' wheels that give it extra road grip and control.

It is interesting to note that the Spectre's DB10 is the sixth Aston Martin to appear in a Bond movie, which took off from sketch board to manufacturing in less than five month under the supervision of Chief Creative Officer of the company, Marek Reichman. The stylish DB10 could be a lead to the design of upcoming cars by the automaker.

Aston Martin DB10 is not coming to the market, but only one piece, billed for the auction, is going to the lucky buyer. he prize money will be given to charity. To catch the Aston Martin DB10 in action, catch James Bond on big screen first, who will re-appear to break some bad bones in Spectre, which is due to be released on October 26.
