More Xbox One owners can finally access the New Xbox One Experience this November. Specifically, Microsoft has announced the release date of the biggest update, which is on Nov. 12.

The November Xbox One System Update will bring the much-awaited backwards compatibility with Xbox 360 games, pushing further the number of games that Xbox One gamers can play during the holidays, DualShockers reported. This was confirmed during the "Halo 5: Live" broadcast. Xbox boss Phil Spencer stated that the public will gain access to the update on the said date.

Apart from the backwards compatibility, there are other areas for improvement for the Xbox One. The update will improve the performance and UI of the console, bring in a new system to better navigate through several aspects of the Xbox One and enhance the social experience with the Community area.

The Xbox One may be looking at a lot more improvements, but the hardware is not the end of the line for the Xbox consoles. In fact, Microsoft still sees a future with a much newer Xbox hardware iteration, Gamepur reported.

Spencer assured a fan that there will still be another Xbox hardware following the Xbox One. However, it may not yet be the right time to speculate on when this will come. The Xbox 360 was released way back in 2005. Considering that the Xbox One was released in late 2014, the latest hardware still has a long way to go in gamers' hands.

Microsoft's continuous updates for its next-gen console are proof that the company still plans on improving its latest gaming hardware. Not only that, the holidays are also looking to bring spectacular games to the Xbox One, starting with the launch of the anticipated "Halo 5: Guardians" and the timed exclusive "Rise of the Tomb Raider" later on.
