Bryan Singer's upcoming Marvel Comics film "X-Men: Apocalypse" is set to be an origin story for the original trilogy heroes.
Michael Doughtery co-wrote Singer's "X-Men: Apocalypse" and "X2: X-Men United." In his interview with Cinema Blend, Doughtery revealed that the production staffs were not changing as much as one was getting a peek into a part of the heroes' lives one had never seen on the big screen.
According to Doughtery, fans had met Cyclops as the leader, Jean Grey as a confident woman struggling with her powers, and Storm as an enigmatic weather goddess at the start of "X1" to "X3." But then, he said that fans had never seen these heroes at the earlier stages in their lives, a period when they were "sort of raw" and "unformed."
Following the events in Singer's "X-Men: Days of Future Past," the timeline had been changed and had been left open for massive changes. As per Cinema Blend, filming "X-Men: Apocalypse" had been a tremendously emotional familiarity. The film would serve as the conclusion of the "X-Men" franchise as a whole, in addition to being the final act of the "X-Men: First Class" trilogy.
Meanwhile, fans are set to see the mutants in Bryan Singer's "X-Men: Apocalypse," which centers on the rise of En Sabah Nur, also known as Apocalypse, as her recruits his powerful Horsemen to help him destroy humanity. To prevent their archenemy from fulfilling his plan of massive destruction, Professor X and Raven must lead a team of young mutants.

The film also stars Ian McKellen, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Lucas Till, Evan Peters, Olivia Munn, Lana Condor, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Ben Hardy, Rose Byrne, Josh Helman, and Oscar Isaac as Apocalypse, among others.
Singer's "X-Men: Apocalypse" is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on May 27, 2016.
