Nia Riley's dad Teddy Riley recently went on "Love & Hip Hop Hollywood" season 2 to weigh in on her on-again, off-again relationship with Soulja Boy. The music legend revealed that he was left with no choice but to go on the show as his daughter would not pick up his calls.
Speaking to VH1, the "Let's Chill" singer said that he cannot stop Nia from seeing Soulja Boy since she is a grown woman capable of thinking for herself. Teddy added that he knew all about what fans had to say about the relationship but explained that he can't do anything about it since Nia allows herself to be treated that way.
Teddy shared that all Nia had to do was tell him that she can't take it any longer. But he said that as long as Nia will continue to tell him that she is fine then he will believe her.
The music legend revealed that he sees a bit of his young self in Soulja Boy. He, however, was quick to warn him that he should change his ways or he will eventually get what he deserved.
Teddy also pointed out that he does not expect much from Soulja Boy given that he "does not have any morals." He added that the rapper does not think about his future and had the tendency to just "wing it."
"He's making whatever little money he's making, doing what he's doing, but he don't understand that there's morals to that," he said.
