While some "Clash of Clans" players are currently enjoying the Halloween mini update that rolled out some cosmetic additions to the game, the new major update did not live up to some of the fans' expectations in the recently concluded ClashCon 2015.

Among the expected features mentioned during ClashCon included the introduction of a new Town Hall level 11, Neurogadget reported. Town Hall 11 features a 4x4 defensive structure, alongside the expansion of the map to 44x44 square meters. However, it appears that fans were looking forward to more than what was announced during the "Clash of Clans" event.

Some fans expressed their disappointment over the lack of concrete details that were shown at the event. In fact, it appears that the Town Hall 11 and the glimpse of the Eagle Defense were not enough for most players, because the majority of the update's benefit was directed towards players who were at higher levels in the game, Touch Arcade reported.

Fans' voices appeared to dole out their disappointments loud enough, as developer Supercell even responded to the criticism to ClashCon. The developer confirmed that the major update will change attacks in the game as a whole, which, in turn also changes the way players will go up against other players of "Clash of Clans."

Granted, Supercell admitted that the ClashCon 2015 event was hyped up more than it should be. The developer also stated that the team was not responsible for the hype. If anything, the event was supposedly a gathering of fans of "Clash of Clans" rather than it being a venue for announcements on the latest major update.

Still, the developer did share a couple of things about the upcoming update. Apart from the new Town Hall, there is also a new hero teased for "Clash of Clans," so players should start accumulating elixir to get the character. As far as rumors go, it appears that the new hero will be a mage, judging by the staff prop. Finally, the update will bring in a new defensive troop, some quests and map to expand the single-player mode of the game.

For now, Supercell has not yet revealed any specific details on the release date of the latest "Clash of Clans" update. Speculations do point to a possible November timeline, but it is best to take this with a grain of salt until official confirmations from the developer arrive.
