Even with the Erron Black and one-round Liu Kang challenges both over, "Mortal Kombat X" mobile players still have a reason to pick up the game during the Halloween season. A new challenge, a new character, and a new way to play the multiplayer are now available for "Mortal Kombat X" mobile.

After players have downloaded the update, NetherRealm Studios has two surprises in store. The first is a Halloween update gift to prepare players for the new unstoppable challenge. The gift is worth 20 souls for free to help players expand their collection of gold cards.

A new challenge is also up, which will bring the masked man Unstoppable Jason Voorhees into "Mortal Kombat X" mobile in time for the horrifying season. "Mortal Kombat X" players know that Jason Vorhees is already a character in the console version of the game.

Long-time players already know the drill of what's in store for every bracket of the challenge. Newer players are likely to have a limited number of cards to use in the challenge. There are a total of five fight brackets to attain Unstoppable Jason. The first four have 12 fights with varying difficulty and extra challenges. These can include regenerating enemies, leeching enemies, dark magic that drains life from fighters and uncontrollable tagging, among others.

Bronze cards will be needed for the first bracket. The second will be a combination of Silver and Bronze characters, while the third only allows players to field Silver characters. The fourth character requires Outworld characters, which is perfect for those who have just finished the Erron Black challenge, as he belongs in that category.

The fifth bracket is the most difficult in each challenge. It contains 15 fights all in all, including a face-off with Unstoppable Jason himself. Additionally, players will need Sonya Blade to be part of the team for the 15 fights.

As a bonus, NetherRealm Studios is also offering a limited edition booster pack dubbed as the Jason Voorhees Kombat Pack. Worth 200 souls, the new kombat pack contains a sure Gold character. There is also a chance of getting the Slasher Jason Voorhees card.

More than the challenge, it appears that a new multiplayer season has also started. This time, players can also beat Jason in the multiplayer to gain him during the Halloween season, Droidgamers reported.
