Celebrities also complain about the problem. The Pixies' guitarist Joey Santiago posted on his official Twitter account, "All of our iPhones alarms failed to wake up our household. Did anyone's iPhone alarm go off this morning?"

Many tech analysts said that Apple may have overlooked this bug when the operating system is still under development. According to Forbes, the iOS 9.1 update along with its five beta versions were developed in only 33 days. Due to the precarious haste in development, engineers and programmers might have might have missed the bug that now caused severe repercussions not only to iOS users but to Apple in general.

According to Value Walk, the exact root of the bug is not yet determined. However, it seems that the problem is only isolated to devices that are undergoing overnight updates. Experts on the matter said that when iOS devices are updated they are directed to the setup interface. This might cause some device features, like alarms, not fully functional.
