Parts of the "Tiny Times 4.0" film will soon be remade after one of its cast members, Taiwanese actor Ko Chen-tung, was kicked out of the franchise when he was involved in a drug arrest.

Ko was recently caught for drug possession with fellow actor Jaycee Chan, the son of Hong Kong action star Jackie Chan. Both actors are currently detained for smoking marijuana in a Beijing foot massage parlor.

The arrest of Ko, being the first high-profile celebrity caught, was in light of the morality crusade in the Chinese entertainment industry.

It was CCTV6's official website, M1905, which revealed the said decision by the producers. The film's creator Guo Jingming said that he had to take out Ko from the cast because of what happened.

In addition, rumors say that Ko will be removed from the live-action Chinese animation "Monster Hunt" directed by Raman Hui. Hui was a co-director for "Shrek The Third."

The actor also lost several endorsements such as those for Quaker Oat Company, KFC, Canon and Maybelline. He has also been banned from going to mainland China for two years.

The official state media said in a separate report that actor and model Hu Dong was also arrested for illegal drug use.

Film and television production companies were already warned by the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television (SAPPRFT) to avoid hiring artists involved in gambling, prostitution or drug abuse.
