The controversial dating website SeekingArrangement.com is launching a Chinese version to connect sugar daddies and mammas with young, attractive people, particularly those looking to fund their education and pay debts, according to a report by Duowei News.

The website, founded by Singaporean businessman Brandon Wade, claims it is "where beautiful people, successful people fuel mutually beneficial relationships." It has users from 139 countries and is available in 10 languages, including English, Spanish and Mandarin.

The new version of the website will try to find more "sugar daddies and sugar babies" in China and have them arrange a relationship via their website.

According to the philosophy of the website, the idea of a sugar baby as a "gold digger" should be discarded. An ad on the website claims, "You + SeekingArrangement = No College Debt."

When clients join the website as a new member, they undergo a lecture course from dating professionals regarding their dating career on the website.

They have to identify themselves as a financial provider, known as a sugar daddy or mamma, or a financial recipient, known as a sugar baby. Disclosing one's personal income is a requirement for creating an account.

The average income of a sugar daddy or mamma on the website is around $188,000, according to incomplete statistics. According to the website's claims, there are eight female users for every male user.

When Wade, who holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, founded SeekingArrangement.com in 2006, he claims he wanted to create a dating scene that was more honest and upfront than conventional dating.

Wade has been quoted in the past saying that love is a concept invented by the poor.
