The Duggars, who are still reeling from the after effects of Josh Duggar's cheating scandal, are seemingly trying to convince Anna Duggars to forgive her husband and avoid a divorce by all means.

According to International Business Times, the Duggars rose to prominence through the now cancelled TLC show "19 Kids and Counting," where they elevated their Christian lifestyle. However, the family brand suffered serious damages earlier this year when it came out that Josh was molesting his sisters as a teenager. Some months later, the Ashley Madison hacking scandal brought to the fore yet another truth about Josh - he was cheating on his expectant wife.

Ever since, Josh has gone to a rehab facility to deal with his problems, while his wife Anna has moved back with her parents. However, Josh is not yet ready to let go his marriage.

Josh does not want to lose Anna, and he is depending on his parents to persuade her not to leave him, according to Hollywood Life.

An insider told the publication, "Josh is convinced that he is a changed man. At least that's what he's been telling Anna," an insider told the media outlet. He says that he can't live without her and that Jesus has restored him. That he will make it up to her and the kids."

The insider added that Josh is willing to start his life over with Anna and the family. Duggar patriarch Jim Bob bought the couple a new house as a way of persuading Anna to stay with his troubled son. However, the move seems not to impress Anna.

A different source informing the same publication said, "A big fancy house is not that impressive, and (Anna) says she simply can't be bought. Anna has a new sense of self and isn't going to put on the happy family show just to please her in-laws. She feels like they are more concerned with image than with the reality of the situation."
