South Korean tech giants LG Electronics and Samsung Electronics recently launched their latest smartwatch devices, the LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE and the Samsung Gear S2, respectively.

Both smartwatches are among the first wearable devices to support cellular connectivity, which enables users to make and receive calls, including sending and receiving SMS messages. Today, most smartwatches come only with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity that can pair with smartphones.
