Luhan's female counterpart was "Resident Evil: Retribution" and "Transformers: Age of Extinction" star Li Bingbing, who was voted the Most Valuable Female Star Award. It has been announced also that Li will reprise her role as Ada Wong in the 2016 film "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter."

Held in Beijing, the 2014 Baidu Moments Conference based its awards on Internet votes, mentions, searches and general popularity.

Luhan attended the event, marking his second public appearance since October when he filed a lawsuit against S.M. Entertainment hoping to terminate his contract. This makes him the second Chinese member to leave the band in 2014 after Kris. After leaving South Korea, Kris has also started an acting career in China.

Produced by S.M. Entertainment, EXO was formed in Seoul, South Korea, in 2011 with 12 members divided into two subgroups, EXO-K for Korean music and EXO-M for Mandarin music. Luhan and Kris's fellow EXO-M members were Xiumin, Tao, Lay and Chen.

Previously, Luhan appeared at a public event in China to promote the Chinese remake of the South Korean film "Miss Granny," which starred Shim Eun-kyung, Na Mun-hee and Park In-hwan.

The Chinese version is titled "20s Once Again," which is set to hit theaters in Jan. 2015. Luhan plays a member of a band, who is also the grandson of the main character.

Prior to the award from Baidu, Luhan was also awarded a Guinness World Record for having the most comments on a single Weibo post. His video post on the Chinese portal site about Manchester United had more than 13 million comments at the time of the award, Mwave reported.

On its official Weibo account, the "20s Once Again" film wrote, "Every single person in the movie production team thought a promising person has appeared as soon as they saw Luhan for the first time."
