Chinese company Meizu Technology Co., Ltd. launched its Meizu Pro 5 smartphone in September, and is now reportedly planning to launch a mini variant of the device, called the Meizu Pro 5 Mini, sometime by the first half of next year.

Specs-wise, the Meizu Pro 5 Mini is anticipated to sport a smaller 4.7-inch display screen with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. The phone could either run on the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop version operating system or the latest 6.0 Marshmallow.

Like Meizu's other recent handsets, the Pro 5 Mini is expected to come in a metal body and could pack MediaTek's Helio X20 deca-core processor under the hood, along with 3GB of RAM, up to 64GB of expandable (128GB via microSD card) built-in memory space, and a 3050 mAh battery.

Also, the handset is expected to be available with a 32GB internal memory version, according to Android Headlines. The Pro 5 Mini could also come with a sharp 16 megapixel camera on the back and a 5 megapixel camera on the front. Other specs include support for Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and 4G LTE connectivity.

In comparison with the previous model, the Pro 5 comes in a 5.7-inch phablet sized AMOLED display screen with a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution. This device runs on the Android 5.1 Lollipop version OS along with the Flyme 5.0 UI on top, according to GSM Arena.

Inside, the Pro 5 packs an Exynos 7420 processor, 3GB/4GB of RAM, 32GB/64GB of internal memory storage, and powered by a whopping 3050 mAh battery. In addition, the Pro 5 sports a very powerful 21 megapixel front-facing camera and a 5 megapixel rear-facing camera.
