A trade rumor linking Utah Jazz power forward Derrick Favors to the Boston Celtics and Toronto Raptors is getting its rounds online recently with the presumption that the team will underperform during the current season.

Michael Pina of Sports on Earth wrote a list of "23 Bold Predictions" for the 2015-2016 season and one of them is the prediction that the Jazz will at least shop the 24-year-old Favors for a stretch four during midseason if the team will not play up to expectations.

Pina suggested two teams that could possibly provide Utah what they need: the Celtics and the Raptors.

According to the article, Boston could swap Avery Bradley, Jared Sullinger, and Evan Turner, plus an unprotected first round draft pick next year.

The deal does not make sense for both teams as Sullinger is not the outside shooting power forward the Jazz needs while the Celtics are giving up way too much for a single player that they do not need as of the moment because their frontline is already stacked.

Meanwhile, Toronto is suggested to trade Patrick Patterson, Bruno Caboclo, Norman Powell, and the Knicks' 2016 first round pick for the six-year pro.

Again, another deal that seems to be highly unlikely as the Jazz does not need these offered players while the Raptors are basically giving up their backup wings in this trade.

Sports World Report indicated that Utah has actually shopped Favors during the offseason as opposed to other reports that the team wants to keep the former Georgia Tech standout for the long term.

Other accounts have said that there is a possibility that the 2011 NBA All-Rookie Second Teamer will be traded before the February deadline, but there are no real indications that it could happen as of the moment.

Favors is a force with the Jazz last season, averaging 16.0 points and 8.2 rebounds in almost 31 minutes a night and a perfect complement to center Rudy Gobert so far.
