Benedict Cumberbatch is set to become profoundly bearded in Scott Derrickson's forthcoming Marvel Comics film "Doctor Strange."

Film production is currently being done in Nepal and Twitter user Prayush Khadka managed to take a photo while near the set and tweet it on his Twitter account.

The photo features Nepal's buildings and natives, along with lead star Cumberbatch, who is set to play Marvel's sorcerer supreme. The actor's beard can be seen from afar, which indicates that his and Derrickson's Doctor Strange iteration will mirror the one in the comic books.

Captioned with "Benedict Cumberbatch in Nepal...shooting for #drstrange #movie #cumberbatch," the photo got more than 1,000 favorites and more than 1,200 re-tweets.

After shooting a few scenes in Nepal, the production team will go to Pinewood-Shepperton Studios in the United Kingdom next month.

It is assumed that Cumberbatch's ruffled appearance in the set entails that the production is filming the early part of Stephen Strange's storyline, as per Cinema Blend. According to the publication, it could be the time when Strange was looking for a cure for his hands, which suffered nerve damage, leaving him incapable of practicing surgery. Thus, the set films the point in time when he did not have magic yet.

Derrickson's "Doctor Strange" will showcase an origin story of Doctor Stephen Strange, a neurosurgeon who loses his hands' fine motor skills after an accident. He meets the Ancient One, a master of magic who trains him to become the Sorcerer Supreme and defend the world from evil.

"Doctor Strange" stars Tilda Swinton as The Ancient One, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo, Rachel McAdams as the Night Nurse, and Cumberbatch as Marvel's Sorcerer Supreme. "Hannibal" actor Mads Mikkelsen, who was reported to play the role of Mephisto or Dormammu, might not appear in Derrickson's forthcoming film.

"Steve Jobs" actor Michael Stuhlbarg is set to play the role of Nicodemus West, Strange's rival scientist, as per Variety.

Derrickson's "Doctor Strange" is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on Nov. 4, 2016.
