Along with the commencement of the tour is the release of a special edition of his album, "The Ultimate Collection," which features the most iconic recordings he made with Sony Music for the past five years.

For Sony Music Entertainment China CEO Xu Yi, "Lang Lang is a person that races with time; he endeavors to go beyond himself."

"During the five years cooperating with him, we see an admirable musician. The large numbers of music he restored here is closely connected to his efforts and diligence," the Sony executive added.

Earlier in October, the pianist also released his recital album, "Lang Lang in Paris," worldwide. The compilation was recorded in the French capital's Opera Bastille.

"Paris is closely connected to romantic music. Nothing is more romantic than recording such poetic works. We made the concert into a DVD while we recorded the album. I hope everybody can feel as if they are at the concert," Lang shared.

The recital album features four scherzos of Chopin and Tchaikovsky's "The Seasons," works of the two masters who have a special meaning to Lang's music career.

At the age of 14, Lang was already playing Chopin's 24 etudes during his recitals in Beijing. Three years later, he played Tchaikovsky's "Piano Concerto No. 1" at the Ravinia Festivial, Chicago, which helped him earn his reputation across the global music scene.
