Rumors are spreading around the league that Indiana Pacers' star player Paul George could be moved before the trade deadline this season.

According to a proposed trade by the Sports Illustrated, the Pacers would gain a ton in return if they trade away George to make way for their rebuilding roster.

George, coming off a freakish accident that resulted to a broken leg, seems to have bounced back after a long time of absence in the NBA.

In his first nine games this season, George has averaged 23.8 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 4.7 assists. These are stats above his career average, and it suggests George is heading towards stardom once again.

However, the Pacers, who took a different road last summer after letting their core roster walk away (Roy Hibbert and David West), has been using George at the four position, which make PG13 unhappy in the long run.

George may have been effective playing small ball due to his plethora of range and skills, but he lacks the size and post moves of a power forward, although according to CBS Sports, is "at ease" about playing as a stretch four.

Trading George would also be a disaster for the Pacers, who, aside from PG13, only have George Hill and Monta Ellis as legitimate scoring options.

Another factor that completely invalidates this trade proposal is George's long-term commitment with Indiana.

Before signing his multi-year deal with the Pacers, George has stated he intends to play with the Pacers and his max-contract tells it all.

So far, George is heading into the right way in recovering his All-Star form. If he continues to show great performances, George is a sure lock with the Pacers until his deal expires.
