After the recent launch of the Axon Pro and Axon Lux smartphones by Chinese company ZTE Corporation, the company is now rolling out the new successor to the Blade S6 handset that was released earlier this year.

The new ZTE Blade S7 is a selfie-focused smartphone sporting two 13 megapixel cameras on both sides (front and back). In terms of the design, the phone is made of glass and metal, and measures about 6.7 mm in thickness, according to Digital Trends.

The Blade S7 retains the same 5.0-inch display size but with an improved 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution. It comes with the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop version operating system pre-installed along with the MiFavor user interface on top.

Under the hood, the phone packs a Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615 processor, and Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & quad-core 1.0 GHz Cortex-A53, and Adreno 405 graphics processing unit, according to GSM Arena.

In addition, the Blade S7 has 3GB of RAM, up to 32GB of expandable built-in memory (up to 64GB via microSD card), and a 2,500 mAh battery.

As for the cameras, the primary unit features touch focus, laser autofocus, HDR, face detection, and panorama capability, among others. The front-facing unit, on the other hand, is accompanied by its own flash, phase detection autofocus and panorama feature as well.

The Blade S7 also has a fingerprint sensor in the home button that can be used to unlock the device and access apps, among others. Other specs include support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, FM radio and microUSB 2.0. The colors available are space grey, diamond white, lemon green and rose gold.

As of this time, the ZTE Blade S7 is expected to make its way initially into Thailand and other Asian-Pacific markets.
