In the wake of recent Paris massacre, pop queen Madonna gave a tear-filled heartbreaking speech during the concert of her "Rebel Heart" tour held in Stockholm, Sweden, on Nov. 14, Saturday.

"It's been very hard for me to get through the show up to this point and not forget what happened," said the singer with a cracking voice after pausing her show for a moment of silence for the victims of Paris attack, Huffington Post reported.

The "Like A Virgin" singer also pledged that she will continue to tour and perform despite the recent incidents since doing otherwise will amount to letting the terrorists believe that they have won.

The singer's Stockholm concert was earlier believed to be cancelled after a series of terrorist attacks that shook six different locations in Paris, including in a concert of American band, Eagles of Death Metal. The Paris attacks left 129 dead and 352 injured, People reported. However, the 57-year-old pop star chose to perform and went ahead with the schedule.

"We must start treating every human being with dignity and respect. This is the only thing that will change the world," said the singer after which the crowd broke into voluminous cheers.

However, the audience later fell silent when Madonna called for a moment of silence. At the conclusion, the singer was seen asking a tissue from the audience and wiping down her tears.

It was soon followed by a performance of "Like A Prayer" when the singer asked the crowd to sing along. The arena was lighted with thousands of illuminated cell phones waving in unison.
