New "Tekken 7" details will feature early launch dates for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles, as well as new game modes and possible guest characters.
Banda Namco's latest sequel to the Tekken franchise is rumored to have an early release date for the PS4 and Xbox On consoles. "Tekken 7" will launch sometime next year, which was announced during the Paris Games Week. Bandai Namco explained that "Tekken 7" should be established for the next generation of gamers and they have plans on developing the second crossover title, "Tekken X Street Fighter" soon, The Christian Post reported.
Another reason for "Tekken 7's" supposed early launch date for the consoles is that Bandai Namco would like to stay ahead of the competition with other fighting game's such as Capcom's "Street Fighter 5." Game creator Katsuhiro Harada and the Tekken team have been busy developing "Tekken 7" for the consoles as they have been gathering data from several arcade test across the globe in order to come up with new gameplay features and concepts.
Bandai Namco added that "Tekken 7" will add new features that are not present in the arcade version and exclusive PlayStation VR gameplay.Unreal 4 Engine will be used in "Tekken 7" for gameplay graphics and visuals, a more in-depth storyline and new game modes that are found only in the console versions, Gematsu reported.
Harada also teased that "Tekken 7" will likely feature a guest character as he is in talks with Bandai Namco about the idea since several game's such "Mortal Kombat X" and "Street Fighter" are implementing the same tactics to gain more attention to the gaming fans.
Past Tekken characters are also being teased such as Jun Kazama, Angel, Kunitmitsu and Eliza. The current character roster in "Tekken 7" include Jin, Kazuya, Heihachi, Hwoarang, Xiaoyu, Lili, Asuka, Dragunov, King, Yoshimitsu, Bryan Fury, Feng Wei, Steve Fox, Lars Alexandersson, Alisa, Paul Phoenix, Marshall Law, Devil Jin, Claudio Serafino, Katarina Alves, Jose Rizal, Lucky Chloe, Shaheen, Gigas, Jack-7 and Kazumi Mishima.
The plot line of "Tekken 7" will likely end the long internal conflict in the Mishima family as the secrets of the Devil Gene will finally be told in the game.
"Tekken 7" has been speculated to launch sometime in 2016 for PS4 and Xbox One consoles.
