There are rumors that the "Mortal Kombat X" Kombat Pack 2 DLC release may happen in March 2016.

Game developer Nether Realms Studios announced back in September that "Mortal Kombat X" will be receiving a major DLC. It will be known as the "Kombat Pack 2" and is expected to be released in the first half of 2016.

It is rumored that instead of making one big release, the studio is planning to release bits and parts of the DLC. This rumor is based on the fact that the first DLC was also released in this fashion.

In the first DLC, characters were unlocked one after another, and not at once. If the second DLC is following the same trend, it is speculated that the Nether Realms Studios will start to release the content from March 2016. The other parts of the DLC will follow soon after that.

In addition, Nether Realms Studios is yet to reveal the four new DLC characters who will be seen in the "Kombat Pack 2" or "Mortal Kombat Z".

There are speculations that the "Mortal Kombat X" Kombat Pack 2 DLC pack may include Smoke, Spawn, Baraka, Havik, Drahmin, Bo Rai Cho, Fujin, and Wolverine, according to Play Station Universe

Spawn is the master mind of comic book creator Todd MacFarlane, whose permission was taken earlier this year in order to use his character. This makes Spawn a much likely candidate to be included in the list of the characters.

Smoke and Baraka are also very likely candidates as they appear in the game's campaign. Also, their full moves are already programmed into the game. This will make it an easier for the developers to further turn them into playable characters, according to Game Spot.

The first pack of "Mortal Kombat X" included Predator, Jason Voorhees, Tanya, and Tremor.

Meanwhile, game creator Ed Boon confirmed in a tweet that Takeda and D'vorah will be getting new skins.
