So in the latest episode of AMC's The Walking Dead entitled "Heads Up", everyone's favorite pizza delivery guy, Glenn Rhee (played by actor Steven Yeun) totally survives a horde of zombies crowded around him and makes it out alive by allowing said zombies to feast on poor Nicholas, and then hiding out underneath not just 'a' dumpster, but 'the' dumpster -- in what is now popularly referred to as, 'Dumpstergate.'

A few weeks ago, a horrific scene unfolded as Nicholas shot himself in the head and brings Glenn down to the floor with him as approximately 50 or so zombies are ravenously waiting for their supper.

Glenn is shown on the ground with his guts being pulled out from his chest, but apparently, everyone was right and it was Nicholas who became zombie buffet.

A plethora of theories arose as to how Glenn could have survived his seemingly impossible predicament, including finding a yet unrevealed manhole underneath the dumpster that leads to the sewers of Alexandria, or, firing off his flare gun in hopes of distracting the zombies long enough to make a break for it.

Both scenarios were the most plausible, right? Glenn couldn't have just hid under the dumpster, waiting out the zombie horde who would grow tired of trying to pursue him, right? That would be the most unlikely out, right?

Wrong.

Glenn did totally wait it out and now it feels like all a cheap trick by showrunners to 'Jon Snow' us all.

In the opening moments of "Heads Up", a flashback reveals Glenn and Nicholas fall onto the concrete, with a dead Nicholas who just shot himself in the head landing on top of Glenn. I wonder how many times they had to reshoot that scene just to get the fall correct and suggestive that Nicholas may have landed on Glenn.

Anyway, as zombies are effortlessly mangling Nicholas' insides, Glenn scurries underneath the dumpster undetected, knifes off any zombie that notices him, and then simply chills out for a few hours and waits until the zombies get distracted, by I don't know, maybe a tin can rolling on the other side of the alleyway.

Once the zombies had gone, Glenn left the crime scene.

Great! Now we can all get on with our lives!
