After tormenting their fans for nearly a month, AMC' s "The Walking Dead" disclosed the fate of Steven Yeun's fan-favorite character Glenn during the episode that aired on Nov. 22, Sunday.

It turned out that Glenn was alive and had survived by scooting underneath the nearby dumpster while walkers devoured his companion Nicholas' body. Glenn remained underneath the dumpster the whole night until the area was free of zombies.

The revelations did not exactly come as a surprise since it was rumored that Glenn would have survived from the attack crawling under the dumpster. Fans even took to Instagram to show how such a move is possible and can be proved fruitful in someone's survival.

However, the show's producer further manipulated the fans when they removed the name of Yeun from the opening credits, to make the convincing case that the character was indeed dead, Los Angeles Times reported.

However, some eagle-eyed fans were quick to note that  Glenn's name did not appear in the show's "In Memoriam" segment that shows the victims of that week's episode. To complicate the matter, the show's executive producer Scott Gimple gave a cryptic statement read by "Talking Dead" host Chris Hardwick, in which he said that  "Glenn, some version of Glenn or parts of Glenn" will be seen again in the show that will help complete the story.

It is still unclear where Glenn's story goes from here. He was last seen asking about the fate of his wife Maggie (Lauren Cohan). Glenn is one of a few characters who has survived since the show's origin and has also never killed a human. It is highly anticipated that Glenn's recent harrowing experience will change his outlook towards ill-prepared people to survive in this world, The Hollywood Reporter reported.
