On Nov. 12, Nintendo Europe wrote on Twitter that "Pokemon Red," "Pokemon Blue," and "Pokemon Yellow" would arrive on Virtual Console for the 3DS on Feb. 27, 2016, which reportedly marks Nintendo's 20th anniversary and its new milestone. The video game trio is set to launch features like wireless trading and battling, which is a huge leap from the physical link of two Game Boy consoles through a Game Link Cable.

Set to complete the trio along with "Pokemon X" and "Pokemon Y," "Pokemon Z" was also previously rumored to come out with the forthcoming "Pokemon GO" in 2016. "Pokemon GO" makes use of real-world data, allowing players to meet Pokemon and battle or trade with other players. The upcoming game will be available for both Apple and Android devices.

With various speculations that have surfaced online, the final updates on the highly awaited "Pokemon Z" and "Pokemon GO" are yet to be revealed.

In other news, Ash, Pikachu, and their friends are set to know more about the mythical Pokemon Hoopa in "Pokemon the Movie: Hoopa and the Clash of Ages."

According to the official Pokemon website, the film will explore a story from the past, featuring Hoopa and its Unbound form. The psychi dark Pokemon has the capacity to summon legendary Pokemon, such as Hoenn's Kyogre and Groudon, using its interdimensional rings.

Hoopa Unbound had the power to summon Unova legendary Pokemon like the dragon-fire Reshiram and dragon-electric type Zekrom, as well as the legendary golems' master Regigigas from Sinnoh.

Directed by Kunihiko Yuyama, "Pokemon the Movie: Hoopa and the Clash of Ages" is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on Dec. 26 while "Pokemon Z" and "Pokemon GO" are reported to be released in 2016.
