"I don't know, who knows," Hough told E! News when asked whether or not he will return for the show's season 22.

Despite Hough's speculative statement, his fans are still hopeful that they will get to see more of his breathtaking performances in the upcoming seasons of the dance reality show. Earlier, he had expressed similar desires when he announced that he will not be competing in season 20 but made a last minute decision to join the cast.

Hough was famously paired with the young wildlife conservationist for "DWTS" season 21. The pair made it to the finals and won the competition on Nov. 24, Tuesday, marking Hough's sixth win as a professional.

Apart from "DWTS" awards, the 30-year-old also has two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Choreography under his belt.

Following the win, Hough admitted that he was exhausted and was longing for a vacation. Voicing the similar thoughts, Bindi claimed that she has successfully convinced her mentor to visit her soon at her home in Queensland, Australia, where she lives and works at a family-owned zoo.

"I feel like I am ready the kind of switch roles," the daughter of the late "Crocodile Hunter" star told People. "So, I'm going to teach Derek how to be with crocodiles and cuddle tigers and kiss koalas."
