"The Blacklist" season 3 episode 8 ends with agent Donald Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) tackling Elizabeth "Liz" Keen (Megan Boone) in a Forest. Ressler tell Liz, "Elizabeth Keen, you are under arrest."

Season 3 is a tad bit disillusioning since the first eight episodes are all about an elongated story about Liz being arrested. Of the first eight episodes, three are simply an entertainment deck shuffle that introduced new villains and establish an outstanding re-alliance of characters.

Episode 8 titled "Kings of the Highway" focuses on Raymond "Red" Reddington (James Spader" being abducted. Kings of the Highway is a low-level criminal gang that kidnaps people, steals from them, and dumps them off the roadside. It is ironical that the most dangerous man in the world, who evades the CIA, FBI, KGB, and other warlords, ends up being abducted by a gang of low-level highwaymen.

Under the leadership of Cash (Marcus Hester), acting like a redneck Charles Manson, the criminal gang is hopelessly outmatched. Within a single day, Cash is killed and two of his men are shot.

The twist in episode 8 demonstrates the show's better qualities. To move the series forward, either Red or Liz should be caught. The fugitives can choose either the government or the Cabal, an organization of baddies in the show.

As a result, a small collection of thieves makes sense. The gang will be solely skilled enough to possibly have Red captured, while at the same time, have him out of their way.

The thieves have very few connections, but there is some character development. For example, Cash emerges as a vain Mansonphile, not nearly as smart as he thinks, and the rest portray varying levels of intelligence. Although they are not as smart as Red, the thieves are not bumbling idiots either.
