Chinese smartphone manufacturer Zuk, a company backed by fellow Chinese company Lenovo, is rumored to be working on the Zuk Z2 smartphone. Rumors claim that the smartphone will be released in 2016.

What makes the Zuk Z2 the talk of the tech community is its fresh take on smartphone design, which essentially makes the camera usable both for rear-facing takes and front-facing takes like a selfie, according to GSM Arena.

The Zuk Z2 sports a 360-degree rotating camera which is mounted on top of the display and the smartphone is rumored to be powered by a Snapdragon 820 chipset from Qualcomm. The leaked renders also show that the smartphone sports rounded corners and combines a metal and glass design. It also features a 2.5D glass.

Rumors are claiming that the smartphone will be available in two storage variants; 64GB and 128GB. Running on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow, Zuk is incorporating its own ZUI interface which is also features on the Zuk Z1.

Not much was revealed with regards to the Zuk Z2. However, many tech experts believe that the new smartphone will be an upgraded version of the Zuk Z1 when it comes to hard ware specs.

The Zuk Z1 supports 4G network. It also has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS connectivity. It supports USB Type-C and has a fingerprint scanner. It also has a massive 4,100 mAh battery pack, according to NDTV.

Zuk's CEO previously confirmed that the company is poised to release a new smartphone within the first quarter of 2016. The company has yet to provide a statement regarding the latest leak.
